Vix Money Manager

If you don't plan your expenses, you may run out of money sooner than you would expect. Vix Money Manager can be quite helpful when it comes to managing finances. It allows you to organize your accounts, incomes and expenses, plan your budget and more. The software can automatically calculate how much money you are left after certain expenses and it can also show you various statistics in colored graphs.

Vix Money Manager is offered free of charge. It can be used on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 and it provides support for both 32 and 64-bit editions. The setup file is only 484 KB, but it takes several minutes to complete the installation process. The setup wizard will download and install a few prerequisite tools, besides the software itself.

The software allows multiple users to manage their finances separately, with their own accounts. Its main user interface consists of several sections, in which you can define your bank accounts or credit cards, create income and expense entries, view statistics and more. Income and expense entries can be added in separate categories. To define a new entry, you only need to specify a sum of money, select a date, an account and type a description. The software allows you to work with any currency, which can be selected when defining an income or expense entry.

You can assign a budget to individual categories. If you plan to spend a maximum amount of money in a certain category, you can specify the sum and the software will display a percentage to help you figure out how much you have spent so far and how much you can still spend. Besides earnings and payments, you can also define money transfers, from one account to another.

An overview of all transactions can be found on a summary page. The software displays the balance and cash flow for each account and it also displays these figures for each month in colored charts. Additional statistics can be generated in a different section. You can use various filters to display specific information in a chart, such as incomes, expenses or over time, from one or more income or expense categories.
